Hi guys,
I just bought an engine on ebay and I will pick it up tomorrow. The thing is I just saw the same engine being relisted on ebay by the seller (saying that it comes from a 2004 Expl with the same VIN and miles- basically it is the same auction, even the same stock#). So I'm thinking they advertise just one engine but actually they sell whatever they have in stock.
My question is: can I say just by looking at an engine if it is from a certain year? Is there a number on the engine that should somehow match the VIN?
