Hey guys, I need a new AC condenser for my 94 Explorer. The one I have now is full of shavings and junk because of my seized compressor. I'm on a really tight budget, so I found a used one at a salvage yard for $45. How can I inspect it and make sure this one isn't also full of gunk? Should I flush it out regardless? If I need to flush it no matter what, I will probably just get a brand new one. (The shop wants $120 to flush a condenser, I can get a brand new one for $82) Please help quick, I'm sweating!! :D

For $82 I would get the new one and be done with it. Its short money, and no gambling or crossing of the fingers required. You will never know what is in the junkyard one until you flush it and that costs more than the new one. Seems like a no-brainer to me.

I agree- get the new one. Not worth the hassle, IMHO.
