I'd like to know on how to make my signals flash fast, is there any kit out available for the X's? I bought one that the ricer uses but our X's have 5 terminals and I can't get my module to work, maybe there's a spevific one for imports and domestics? please help

normally, they speed up if there is too much load......thats not a good thing. under normal conditions, my heavy duty variable load flasher is faster than stock, but it is a constant regardless of whether or not i have additionaly lights hooked up (hence the ariable load). cost me $7.99 at autozone.

Usually fast flashing is a sign of something wrong...why would you want that? You will burn out your bulbs quickly:rolleyes:

interesting

coming from a former ricer, I know this answer. Actually you dont need to buy a kit or anything. All you have to do is purchase a low watt bulb that is LID simulated. You can find that at a gi joes auto zone or imports part store. replace all the turn signal bulbs(front and back) with these and it will increase the speed. go to clearlights.com and look at lights/leds your can get a pair from an autoparts store for around $6 per light, but this is what they look like.

I had hyperwhite bulbs in where the flashers go and one of them blew. I bought some white LEDs on Ebay. After I put the new bulbs in everything was flashing fast. I haven't tried t fix it yet b/c I love the way it looks. I hope I'm not destroying my electrical system or something

Well see I like it fast, I mean i have it fast already but I want something like the ricers use that they can even control the speed. My signals are fast right now but the hazards are normal speed, does anyone know if there's a module that I can use or anything I can do to be able to control the speed like the ricers module????

for that, you would need to buy a signal kit. there are a lil spendy but you can find em cheap on ebay.

I know that i need that flasher kit or module but like i said i have the one that the ricers use but if you look at the Ford flasher( well mine ) it has 5 outlets unlike the riceers they have 3 which is right for the module. The module that the ricers use seem to not work on FORDs. I want to know if anyone has this or has done this on a FORD. I want to be able to control my signals and hazards just like the ricers. I have installed a few of those on ricers and they work well and I want one so I don't think I'm doing it wrong on my X.

Quick question. You keep mentioning "like the ricers use", well, if you want to do the same thing, doesn't that make you a ricer?

You seem to want to seperate yourself from the ricers, yet it seems like you are just like them.

you know this forum is mostly to help people, if you are just going to keep posting replies and doesn't help at all whats the point?!?!! i use "like what the ricers use" because ive seen them most on them, or i myself has done it to their cars.... its just stereotypically speaking!!!!

anyways anyone that can help please let me know!!

the best i could give is a new flasher from a ricer mag. we like to give help but, see the problem is that we are a ford truck (more specifically ford explorer) forum and as such, that is the type of knowledge to expect. its kinda like asking martha stuart to change your oil. i would never send someone to another site, but for an answer to your particualr question, you might want to try a ricer site. we can help out with other things though and we enjoy your membership, its just hard to answer something so off-base (although we do try).

hope that helps and post up what you find in case anyone else wants to know....i am sure some of teh street truck scene would be intrigued.

you could try replacing the flasher with a 555 timer and a relay, then you then should be able to set it up to blink anywhere between once every few hours to over 500KHz for less then 1$ in parts. haven't tried it but i don't see why it wouln't work.

You could

You could try to hook crap up to the trailor wiring harness (if equipped). Pull a big electrical load with it. Try shorting crap out or just generally try to screw it up. Then, if it isn't totally fried, your flasher will flash faster. Normally if the flasher flashes fast it is worn out (this normally happens by pulling a trailor. YOu could always, hook up a set of trailor lights (the lights only) drive with them daily. Hope to heck you have a thermal flasher and just wait to wear it out. The more and the bigger the lights the faster it will wear the flasher out and give you the undesired effect of a flasher that flashes fast
Rice is for eating not burning out the tail pipe :D (we call ricers rice burners or rice rockets here in AR)

Yeah that's what we cal it too or imports! Well i really would appreciate if anyone can help me with this situation. I like the fact that you can control the speed of your blinkers!
