There may be no how-to because once you look under the back of the truck, you should see it's pretty straight forward. Even so, I'll see if I can dig up the pics of my install.

Remove the spare (it's worth the effort to give you space to work) and get it up on jackstands

Make a note of how the old swaybar is mounted and put the new one on the same way. Before installing, lay everything out on the floor and mount the split collets on the inside of the bushing area.

To get the old bar off, you'll need to remove the bolts shown below: (well... the endlink bolt is already missing). Use a little penetrating oil if they're seriously too tight to remove.

Grease and fit all the parts as per the instructions (the kit should come with grease and simple instructions), then put in in.

On some (like mine) the bolts might be tough to reach. It's helpfull to have all your socket adapters handy

Once the bar is installed, tighten the split collets

Note 1: Sorry there's not much to it, but I really didn't think about it much when I installed it. I just sorta did it. If there's something about the kit I forgot to mention, I'm sure someone will fill it in.

Note 2: I replaced my rear swaybar endlinks at the same time. Probably not necessary for most, but after years of mountain driving mine were pretty bad.

thanks for the great pics!!

the most complicated thing i've done the X so far was drilling holes in the airbox :p i have very little practice as far as mods go, so its always nice to have how-to's w/ pics so i don't mess something up

thanks again for the help!

As Rit says it really is pretty easy to do, before you tighten the collets make sure it is eyeball centered, need some help PM me and come on by, takes about 20 mins

thanks spindle!!! help would be great, esp. for a newbie like myself.

i'll keep an eye out for your Trac when i'm driving around.

No Problemo
Spend most of my time on Hwy 280 between, San Jo and mtn view, maybe see ya down the road

EE also sends directions with the sway bar.
The more info the better.
( at least in this matter :p

so will i notice a big difference if this rear sway is the only suspension mod i have?

well - i shouldn't say "only"... i got the shocks swapped out for monroe's a while after i got the X. the ride was great for about a week, then it went right back to the rough, bouncy ride it was before.

Yes the sway bar makes a HUGE differance.
your Ex will corner like you will not believe.
I love mine. Best mod money spent thus far.

well, i'm on the group buy list.

now i just need some more ppl to order it so i can get my bar!!!!! =)
