Hello,

Question, I have the day running lights installed on my 99 sport. How can I disable this option so I can drive in the dusk or dawn with only my parks, and fogs?

Will disconnecting the day runners affect the fog light circuit? seeing that running with high beems do...

Thanks!

Bless the U.S...

I thought that DRLs were required in Canada? Personally, I wish I had 'em. But to each their own.

Nope it's not required by law....nor do we have emission laws. Here in Calgary anyways.

It's a nice feature, and I would'nt want to permanently remove this option. But I think the truck shows it's attitude better w/out the day timers...

Cheers...

Here's a link with a brief discription of where to find the module. If you still have problems locating it, PM me and I will send you more detailed instructions. When you find it, simply disconnect the connector.

Thanks!!!

Should be enough info...although I did search the archives, but never searched "DRL".

I'm luvin this site...

Cheers!

Also, if the X is like other vehicles, you can put the parking brake on 1 notch to disable the DRL, try it.

One of the wires going to the DRL box is the power wire for it....install a switch on that wire, and you can shut down the DRL operation whenever you want:D

Even better!

I have a ton of electrical switchs that need to be put to use.

Thanks!

Just do the one click E Brake trick. It's easy and quick. I used to do it all the time in my car. One click is all that is needed.

To be honest...I think I have already tried that, and it never turned the day timers of. It use to work for one of my old cars as well. Will check into it though to confirm.

Thanks!
