How to remove rear glass?

Got up on Sunday to find the local mindless moron had pelted the house wh eggs them finding that boring ahd lobbed a lump of brick through the rear screen of the Explorer - then pelted the interior with eggs.
Leaving aside the highly emotive point of the Metropolitan Police Farce not even bothering to send an officer to an event thats cost a few hundred quid - when Autoglass replaced it they could not undo the screws that go through the glass and hold it to the hydraulic rams.
I've tried here after soaking it 24 hous in penetrating oil but I can't get it to shift either. I'm using the right Torx head bit but it won't shift!!
Any one got any thoughts on how to get these screws out so we can get Autoglass to finish the job please???

You could try either freeze spray or heat as the glass is bust anyway it won't matter either way.

I don't suppose they're left hand thread for some freaky reason that only Ford know about?
They used to do it with transit wheel nuts (but I DO know why... it's to confuse the apprentices at ATS...)

Loctite do some freeze and release spray, in my experience with the stuff i have found it to be crap, but it is not very expensive, so it might be worth a shot. Halfords, ARE, etc. stocks it.

I work for Autoglass at the Strood branch, ask them, or tell them to just order some from Ford and direct bill it to the insurance company. I`ll ask at work tomorrow and see what they say. It depends on which branch is doing the job, alot of the London branches don`t really go for customer service and can`t be bothered to order OEM parts in for some jobs cos it aint an Autoglass problem. But I`ll see what our branch says. I`ll PM you my works mobile number if you wish

Thanks Dave - it was the Romford branch that carried out the work thus far.
Must admit - my reaction was exactly what you said - but it's the wifes vehicle and she had to deal with the. She's not as stroppy as me I'm afraid.

I took mine off not that long ago and didn't have any problem. Are you using the torx bit with a hand bit driver or a ratchet wrench? Use a ratchet if you're not.

Sorry for the delay. I had a chat at work and they said that they wouldn`t order the parts as it wasn`t a part broken by a fitter. "unless you broke it, we don`t order it, it`s too much hassle" It`s good to know that I work for a caring company. Do you still need the rear window replacing?
