I read the other posts on this and I just don't get it. I tried putting jeweler's screwdirvers, wire, small allen wrenches, small animals, etc. into the 'slot' at the bottom of the mirror mount, all to no avail.
In spite of what someone else posted, I did not tap on the bottom of the mount with a hammer; one of this reasons I bought the X was because it had good glass. Kind of like to keep it that way.
Can anyone elaborate on how to get the inner spring to let go so I can pull off the mirror?
btw, this mirror does not have the traditional hex set screw holding it onto the mirror mount piece; there is apparantly an internal spring of some sort (according to other posters).
