How to: replace aux power out let with dual usb power supply

I know you can put in one of those usb adapters but i found out if you pull them out quickly you can blow a fuse. I found a few how to's that hacked a usb adapter but i cam across at one of these

i purchased mine at a local boat store and it didnt come with wires so i just wired it with some wire i had laying around

Step one: is taking apart your center console with these directions

step two:
removed the aux outlet and install the usb socket

step two seperate the wire in the center console
Red positive black striped negative

step three
splice it in, i use taps for this but you can use what you like you can also cut it and splice it that way.

step four reinstall the center console looks factory

I popped a tire on my trailer and had to use my portable air pump that plugs into my cigarette lighter. I pushed too hard and the plug fell back inside and is now loosely bouncing around behind my floor shifter inside the console :/ I suppose I should just do your mod when I fix it

plus if you need a aux/cigar lighter you have one in the rear
