I've got a 95eb that i'm slowly putting a stereo into. I've read on here that my best bet is to forget about trying to use the exisiting amp and wiring (i'm planning on putting in a 4channel anyway). I'm planning on running all new wiring to my speakers for the new head unit that i'll have... but my question is where do i run the new wires? I havn't even opened up my door panels yet, so i have no idea where the old wire goes, (other than to the factory amp). The plan is to keep all of my REAL amp power cords on the driver side of the truck, and the rca's on the other. Where is the best place to put the new speaker wire? Thanks-

route them under the side floor trim.... the body is actually recessed there for wires

Yeah, I've found that out with the power cords... The thing that I'm not sure about is how to get the wires from the floor trim panel into the doors... around the hinges and all. I'm assuming there is tubing for other wires in there somewhere, I'd just like to get an idea of where it is at before I jump into the project...

It is easy to run the wire into the rear doors and front passenger door. The drivers door is the hard one if you have the plug in the door jam. The easiest way to do the 3 easy door is to take the door panels off and use a wire coat hanger and feed it from inside the door into the truck. It will take some work but it is not that hard.
The drivers dorr is another story. I take the plug apart and drill a hole in both side and feed the wire through it.

alright, I've taken a look at what I've got to work with/around. Since I've found many threads about speaker wiring, and/or bypassing the factory amp, I am planning on taking several pictures during my HU/speaker wiring install, and posting them on a website along with the steps that I took. It will be a week or so before I will have my new head unit, and I don't plan on beginning the install until then. I'll post the address of the site on this thread once it is online. Thanks for everyone's advice....

When i was running my wires, i was in your situation...not exactly knowing what to do.... so i just hooked the wires up to the head unit( soldiered them all to the harness that plugs into the head unit), then directed them to where they needed to go. To get to the back I ran the amp power cables and RCA cables both on the passenger side( becuase i didnt want a bunch of wires near the pedals or under my feet), and the speaker cables i ran through the flexible rubber thing connecting the door to the body. Since i just hooked my amp up under the rear seats, the power and RCA cables just came out at the back of the side floor molding under the carpet.

It all turned out very neat...and a hell-of-a lot easier to figure out than the stock wiring!!
