How to switch between Apple Airplay and normal Menu

When I connect my iPhone and activate AirPlay how can I go back to the normal Menu Window?
There is no button to go back or missed I something?

SYNC 3 functionality​

When you’re connected to Apple CarPlay, many SYNC 3 features, such as the optional Navigation system and SYNC® AppLink™, will be unavailable. You can, however, access a limited number of SYNC 3 features by pressing the SYNC icon on the touchscreen. This takes you to an integrated view that allows you to use certain SYNC 3 and Apple CarPlay features. To exit this view and return to Apple CarPlay, press the Apple CarPlay icon in the Feature Bar.

Note: SYNC does not control Apple CarPlay while in use. Apple is solely responsible for Apple CarPlay functionality.

When you are in car play, swipe the screen until you see the ford app. I forgot the name but it takes you back to the sync menu
