how to tell if u have limited slip

hey guys/girls. does anyone know how to tell if you have limited slip stock? i have a 94 sport loaded with everything including trailer/tow and 4.10 gears. thanks!

you can get the axel code from inside the door and look it up. I think all the ones that start with D are L/S but not sure

Jack up the truck high enough so that both wheels are off the ground. Turn one wheel, if the wheel on the opposite side turns in the same direction you got limited slip.

check the tag on the rear differential. it'll read either for example........3 55 88 = 3.55 gearing open diff and 8.8 axle or 3L5588 = 3.55 gearing l/s 8.8 axle

 

[Crankcase]

If you truly have a 4.10 axle and limited slip...the number will say "D2"
