2006 Explorer XLS
I recently bought a Sony Xplod CD Deck. I know my 2006 FORD Explorer XLS has a factory subwoofer and amp. How do I get the sub and amp to work with the aftermarket deck? What harness do I need to buy?

I have no idea.. But if you are willing to sell your sub assembly, I want to add that to my wife's EX. Thanks, hope you figure out how to wire it up.

this is a shot in the dark but i dont think you should need anything special...just whatever wiring connector it calls for

nic092 ... did you ever find out about the harness for your 06 explorer sub? i am in the same boat right now. from what ive seen on ebay they sell the regular wiring harness for around $6 but then you can also buy the harness along with a smaller harness that connects to the RCA outs on the back of your new head unit. what i am trying to do is find out WHERE the factory sub is located. not sure if i need the extra harness or not. thanks.

I didn't figure out how to wire everything to stock specs considering I would have to get the rear body panel as well... I am not having that.... So I put in 2 10" subs with an after market radio with USB that I wired through the console into the armrest. Since then I pulled the Subs out and I will be installing those into my Lincoln Mark VII. Then installing new speakers for the doors and keeping the after market radio... I'll take pics if anyone needs to check out how it looks. Just let me know.
