- 1997 Aerostar
It's Stampede Week here (even though it runs for 10 days now) so Howdy seems appropriate. Our first Aerostar was a 1990 Eddie Bauer which we loved. It suited our family extremely well and was also extremely reliable. Then we bought a 1997 extended Aerostar (not an Eddie Bauer) in Jan. 2000 to replace it. My husband is 6'4", but has 32" legs, which means he has a long torso. The Aerostar is the only vehicle we've found that he can sit upright in and still see out the upper part of the windshield. The Windstar and Explorer doesn't work and neither do the newer trucks. Our truck is a 1994. We went to the car show and he wore himself out sitting in all the different vehicles in order to find one that would fit. The F450 was the only one that worked. We need to keep our Aerostar on the road until we can find a replacement vehicle.
