Hello

I have a 94 4.0 eddie b.

I was pulling a trailer thru some mud the otehr day and noticed some cluncking in the front end while in 4X4. I think I need to replace the front hubs. I have the auto lockers in it now but if I have to replace I would like to beef it up some. Any suggestions? I have gotten a couple of prices for manual lockers but am not sure of what to put in there. I also would like to change the back to a posie or a limited slip. I do not do extream off raod with this truck but do pull trailers when biking or 4 wheeling and would rather not get stuck because one wheel is spinning.

Thank you

Jim

I have heard good things about both the Mile Marker and the Warn manual hubs. I think either would be good.

I think someone is selling an 8.8 rear axle with 3.73 gears and limited slip (posi), provided you have 3.73s up front. Check the For Sale Forum. Otherwise, you could install a PowerTraxx NoSlip (or LockRite) 'lunchbox' locker for added traction. They're (relatively) cheap and pretty simple to install. There's a few write-ups by other Forum members. You need to do a Search.

Good Luck - Dave.
