humming from the front end...

well, my heater control bypass valve broke the other day. fixed that, ever since there has been a humming from my front end....but it goes away if i turn left, and gets worse if turning right...its probally unrelated, but it happened right after that broke.....any idea's wtf that could be?


if this thing wont stop breaking on me im going to have to get rid of it and get something a little cheaper to work on, like a ****fire im looking at one right now....800 bucks needs nothing for cert, 180,000 KM, black, 4 door. 1996...a little better on gas.

i talked to my cousin who used to be a mechanic, now he just blows **** up (plays with dynamite all day...blowing up rocks, lol), he said my barrings could be bad...i just repacked them...guess i didnt do a good enough job? ill take a look tomorrow...see what happens i guess.

If your bearings are bad, it will not help to repack them. It might buy you a day or two before they fail. If they fail, you can bet it will not be at a convenient moment. Learn a lesson from my thread, "leaky intake question?". When you find a problem, fix it the right way as soon as possible. Else you could increase the risk of a larger problem down the road.

thing is when i repacked them about a month ago they were mint...if their ####ed up, ill change em, but if they apear fine ill repack and find out what happens....its looking pretty good that ill be getting the sunfire....we'll see what happens...sunfire would tripple or quad my current gas milage anyways....if i dont get rid of the explorer...ill turn it into a trailer queen... unless it really starts to smarten up, lol.

it came back :| lol, luckilly i am getting the sunfire tonight, and ill park the explorer while i work on it. in the summer i'll decide on wether i keep it or not...
