The other day I replaced a resister pack on my blower motor. I just had the high speed and no low speeds for ventilation. Well that's fixed, but now my a/c compressor will not kick in. I'm sure I bumped something, or blew a relay or fuse. The Ford dealership wants 70 bucks just to hook it up to a machine and then tell me what part I need to buy. I would rather put 70 bucks in a trash bag and light it on fire then have them go though there routine.
So looking for free advice I thought I would see what everyone has to say here.
Outside of the obvious I have rechecked my connections that I had disconnected several times after the installation of that resister pack. When the engine is running and you hit the a/c button you don't hear the a/c compressor engage. Nothing happens, the rpm's stay the same and the voltage drain stays the same(as far as the gage in the dash), but the a/c light comes on. Anyways thanks for any help. It's a 4.0 DOCH by the way.
