My 2005 Ford Escape will shake when I accelerate from 10-30, and then stop. It also shakes when I slow to a stop, as well as shake the worst when I am taking a left hand turn. Had it looked at and was told to get new tires. It didn't fix the problem. Someone said maybe the drivetrain, but I was wondering if anyone else has had this problem??

Did they check for bad bushings and loose front end components like balljoints and rod ends?

Supposedly they checked everything, shook everything down and couldn't find anything, but I just don't know if they are telling me the truth. I will look into those. Thanks!

Have you had the transmission fluid changed recently, and if so, was it with Mercon V? If so, I know Ford was having issues in the Escapes with Mercon V, and suggesting a change back to the original Mercon... Shuddering was the issue. Some fix non-Mercon related shuddering with a bottle of anti-shudder added also.
