Why am I here? Because a co-worker took me off-road in a POS 1st gen Ford Explorer Sport 4x4, and I had a complete blast. The `92 Explorer was not much to look at, yet it was the heart of the vehicle that really took me by surprise. I do not own a Ford, but I did work as a Ford Mechanic at a local Ford dealership, so I am familiar with the concept, and know all to well the religious following of Ford owners. I have been a Chevy man, and an occasional Dodge guy for many years, but I am now looking for a change of pace... I wanna "color outside the lines" and go off-road now, and I am leaning towards the 1st gen Explorer Sport.
