After having my interior rear view Mirror shake constantly since I bought the truck, it has finally Stopped! But what did I do? Well let me tell you, It was really 3 things that stopped it.
-First was the Drive line vibration damper shock, that made it a lot better, but it still happened.
-Second was having my Tires road force balanced, and match mounted.
-Third was really a guess, but I did it anyway, I replaced both U-joints on my drive shaft going to the rear, and BOOM, no more shaking at all!
I found out when doing all this, that the shock was not doing a single thing because it had holes rusted through it, the wheels really needed to me balanced that way, I run 31's. The final one is that I had FACTORY U-Joints with 184k on them, and they where severely worn out.
Hopefully this helps somebody, because the shakey mirror drove me crazy for years!!!
