Hey all just thought I would check back in, it's been a long 2 months of working, but I finished the system. All done the system is 2 batteries, a 200 amp alternator, two Hifonics amps, 1 XX colosus (3200rmsx1) and 1 XX Zeus (85rms x4) matched to a pair of 15" RE Audio x.. subs, in my Custom boxes tuned to 37hz. and MB quarts in all the doors. The front deck is a Pioneer premier, 960mp. Used knukonceptz wires for the whole thing, and as a final touch theres the 50 farad hybrid capacitor. EVERYTHING is sound deadened. used Fatmat and its great stuff, Completly recommend. Anyway, on to the pictures.

nice score....welcome to the 150 club.

now ive got a score to aim for with my setup :)

out of curiosity what kind of load are you giving the colossus?

Very nice setup. Proves you do have to do anything fancy to look good.

Very nice, but how are you getting around the "Hey! Steal Me!" factor?

You can fit those crossovers in your doors, by the way - I have the same ones in mine. If you'd like, I can pop the panel off and take a pic of the mounting location.

Nice setup. Those power wires and ground wires are huge. 0 gauge? Good stuff!

-Drew

yea 0 guage and I like the crossovers on the outside, but the steal me part is statefarm with stereo coverage, and soon to be a 791xv viper alarm, oh and the multiple bolts and shear weight of everything, im saggin in the back by like 3 inches, so maybe its airshock time...

Sexy!

Good choice on the 15"XXXs, and thank God you tuned your boxes reasonably low! Now all you need is another amp so you can go one-per sub... ;)

lol and rip the cone into pieces, they are each getting the max recommended rms already 1600 btw and i would be afraid to go more, but it looks like I might have a sponsership comming up :-D

Ohh XXXs can take it. People run 2400w on them daily and don't have problems. You would have to worry about thermal dissipation on the voice coil and the glue holding the sider/cone to the former. They should be able to handle 3200 watts reasonably well... maybe be a little conservative on the gain and feed em like 2400-2750 ;)

x..'s will take 3000 watts daily and have taken 5000 watts a piece for burps with no problems.

thats some sweet equipment :) do you know which AC that is?

which comps do you wanna go to? im sure youll kick ass locally, but with that setup being above the window line, you are in quite a difficult class to compete in.

yea in db drag im in the superstreet 1-2 class, and im hoping to do hte nw one... but what u mean by AC?

the audiocontrol meter

dB Drag uses the new termlab sensor, which reads up to 10db higher than some of the old AC mics. the newest AC, the AC190 i believe is just about dead on with the termlab though.

wow, proof i shouldent get online to forums at 9 am thanks

that amp looks about the same size as mine...kidna like the same setup...but i havnt hooked up my 400w to my door speakers yet, got a 1200w powering 2 900W 15'' subs ill get pictures when im done....Nice setup!
