I purchased a new '92 'plorer and it was a great vehicle. I finally gave it to my grandaughter with 192 Miles in '04 when my wife wanted a new one.
My '04 Explorer is the worst vehicle I've ever owned. To begin with: The pass. side sunvisor fell in my lap with only 29 M miles when I was in Georgia. When I got home I went to the dealer I bought it from and pleaded my case but it had just turned just over 30 M by now and I was told the warrantee expired; no help there...
Now, the rear windows work only when they feel like working as well as the gas gauge and cruise control....
One day I backed it out to move another car out and when I went to start it up to put it back; nothing... Had to have it tolled to a shop. Problem; the key. Mechanic used my wifes key and it started right up. Go figure....
Now, it's the infamous "butt" crack in the middle of the rear lower glass panel and it's warm here, 60/80's f. it's deemed "Stress" and not covered by my comprehension.... I knew I should have hit it with a hammer but I'm an old honest fool...
