Don't crank on it any more! If you haven't already, you can vend a valve. Pull all the plugs and crank it until all the water is out. Check and or change all of your fluids: engine, trans, transfer case, front and rear diff.

alright, i havent been crankin it becides when i inatially found out that it was hydrolocked... so after the water is out and it turns over again is the motor still good b.c i kno that water will compress before air which means any water even droplets left will ruin the cylinder walls and puncture them right???? and also my motor was not submerged the water was only a foot or foot and a half deep just the water that was folding from the front of my truck splashed up into the intake, so im assuming the electrical stuff should still be good????? thanks for any help, kevin

I think thats what he meant.

If you went through a puddle of water that was about a foot or a foot and half deep why do you think you got enough water throught the intake to blow your motor. How fast were you going? Maybe you have a electrical problem. Just like the others have stated pull your plugs and see how they look. Just to be on the safe side, I would even change the oil if you think you got that much of water in there. Then try it a two - three times. If it doesnt start after the third try dont keep trying start checking other things like the coil is it soaked with water. You might have gotten some ignition parts wet.

Good luck.

thanks for all the help... all is well, the motor started right up after i took out the plugs... water got into the intake b.c the intake is routed into the passenger side wheel well... dumb place but okay, i re-routed it so it should not happen again, but again thanks for all the help
