I have a 2003 Explorer XLS. So I hit a piece of wood on the highway. It right underneath the driver side headlight and cracked the bumper cover all the way to the wheel. I was wondering will a bumper from an 02 XLS match up. They look the same I am just wondering about the color because the bumper is not the painted type. Let me know guys!

Also does anybody have an suggestions on where to get one. I looked around the local salvage yards all are XLTs.

DePere, WI? You're the closest member to me so far!

I manage a dealership in Omro (west of Oshkosh), and we do lots of builders. One great resource is CertiFit www.certifit.com
They have new aftermarket bumper covers at ridiculously cheap prices.

Another source is Keystone...They have a store in Appleton. Not sure if they have a website, but their number is 1-800-422-1995. (Edit: They do have a website... www.keystone-auto.com ) They also have good prices on new aftermarket body parts, and since you're close, it might be worth it to just drive there and buy one versus getting it shipped. The CertiFit store we deal with is in the Twin Cities, but they ship SpeeDee anywhere. (1-800-628-4098)

For a used one, check www.car-part.com if you haven't already.

If you need more help or want me to check with a few of my connections, PM me and let me know what I can do to help. I have a good hookup with a few excellent independent bodymen too, so if you need help doing the install, I can possibly save you a few bucks there too.

Oh yeah...I feel your pain as far as front bumper covers go. Mine has been repaired twice already, and needs to be done a third time! First time I got hit by one of our mechanics, second was my own stupidity when I rear-ended a Caravan, and the third time I guess was also my own fault...I drove too close up to a frozen snowbank, and cracked the previous repair.
Just tonight my boss almost clipped the side of my Explorer with his wrecker...He was talking to me while backing up, and not looking in his right hand mirror. I swear this Explorer has a target on it!

How about the o-rings for the headrests?

Any chance ya got these? 5 locking, 5 non locking? Grey? The little o-rings at the bottom of the headrests cost $29.95 for the entire post holder - can't find them sep from package... thanks!

I don't have any late-model Explorers (or even other Ford products) that I'm parting out right now. Best chance is to find a "you-pull-it" salvage yard, and go huntin'.
