I have a problem with my rear differential.

Glad I found this forum!

I have a problem with my rear differential. It started getting very loud, The faster I drive the louder it gets. When I let off the gas its a quieter.
I thought it was the U joint but was told I need a new diff. They checked the carrier bearings, U joints, spacers, etc etc. The end result is they say I need to rebuild or replace.

Any thoughts?

time to build or replace..
or at the VERY LEAST....takin apart and looked at.
there have been a few occasions when ive done this,
and found (replaced) the carrier bearing and race because
of scoring, all was good
