I have a question about interchanging Explorer shocks with a 1996 Aerostar.

I am just curious, does anyone know if second generation explorer shocks will fit the Aerostar extended 4wd vans?

Check the part numbers on Rock Auto, Autozone or any other website which sells parts. Which brand do you want to use?

Hi Brooklyn,

I have a set of shocks that I bought for my second generation Explorer about two weeks before the trans went out in it, just generic stuff, not a name brand. I guess I was being lazy and thought I would ask if anyone knew, but good suggestion, although I have found through experience that often times the same parts have different part numbers for different models.
