I have a 96 aerostar. The cd player was ripped out and now the air and heat does not blow in the van. I can hear it blowing but I don't know where the air is going. I'm not a mechanic:
Help.

If your fan is blowing air, you have one of two things wrong, a) disconnected ducts under the dash, or b) blocked ducts, probably because a control was disconnected.

Warm the engine, turn the heat on high, turn the fan on high, then find the heat source under the dash. That is where your problem will be. If there is no heat source, then the most likely problem is that one of the control cables is disconnected and a duct is blocked as a result.

Where are these cables located? Are they under dash or do I have to remove dash to get to them?
