I have no reverse gear on my 2001 Explorer.

Whats up new to this forum, Have a 2001 Ford Explorer Sport Trac XLT Automatic with 151K, Joined this forum hopefully to find some answers to some problems My Truck is experiencing recently. I have no reverse This truck has had its transmission replaced three years ago could it be the transmission again? No check engine light is on and fluidlevels are normal, also the fluid doesnt seem like any clutch pack material are in it like if they were worn out. "

Welcome to this forum! Check the low/reverse servo, band, reverse modulation valve, and valve body gaskets in the transmission, and the shift fork & shift rail in the transfer case.

Any pics if possible and also i forgot to edit but the transmission was rebuilt not replaced sorry also does this transmission have shift solenoids could those be a source also?

The transmission section has a sticky thread called the 5R55E valve body rebuild diary. It has a lot of pictures with step by step information. It has shift solenoids, but none of them control the reverse gear. Your thread was renamed, and moved into the transmissions section.
