i have tcase question...

ok, i looked at pics of the Tcase for my 93, which plug is the fill and drain plug since they are both level to each other?


i did a search only info i could find is that there is a fill and drain plug on the tcase, lol never which one was which.

Once installed on the vehicle, the two should not be level with each other.
 












When installed, the front output is lower than the rear output (this is true for most transfer cases). So the drain plug is the one opposite the front output towards the bottom of the case. The other is the fill plug. I don't remember the position relative to the shift motor, but I do remember there was no need to touch the shift motor to change the fluid.

im guessing fill plug to the left of the pic and drain to the right of the pic, i gotta do a shift motor rebuild and we just did a tranny flush, not sure if Dylan did tcase after Jack pointed that out, lol. thanks guys.
 






Here is a pic of the 1354 in the truck.. You can see the drain plug in the pic, and the orientation of the transfer case when its installed. You only have to remove the dampener/weight to see the drain plug, which is not shown (weight) in this pic or the pic in the post above
