I felt there has not been enough praise to the glasspack. I mean I got great sound and excellent performance for $15 bucks. Oh yeah, and did I mention it was $15 bucks? Left me more money to spend on my KKM. Great deal.

Yea, my neighbor's friend has a glasspack + coffe can combo on his Ranger 4.0. When I hear it, it almost sounds like someone has stolen my weed-eater out back and is using it to trim my yard!

Oh well, glad ya like it! ;)

well...if you like it:chug: to you.

If it doesn't sound like a weed wacker now, wait till it's broken in and the packing wears, you'll sound worse then those Civics;)

I heard glass packs on a 1st gen ohv V6 Explorer, I laughed my ass off when I heard it and reved my Flowmasters for him to hear, he had a look of shame on his face:D

But if you like it, it's your opinion, good luck:)

I think the 4.0 sounds like a 2.0 with a glasspack, but that's just me.

glasspacks are a poor excuse for a perfromance exhaust, they tend to "blow out" in no time, then it sounds like a straight pipe. all the rednecks around here like glasspacks on their chevy p/u's.

Same here. Plus a bodylift and a dogbox and various other fine redneck modifications. Disgusting........

The whole idea about buying a glass-pack was always to blow it out as soon as possible so you could sound like a NASCAR stock car. Ah, those were the days my friends!

I've had my glasspack in for over 3 months now. It should broken in considering I drive alot now. Still kicks ass. The reason it doesn't sound like a honda is because it is followed by a lot of tail pipe (without resinator of course). I'm expecting many of you judge the glasspack because you haven't heard many on an explorer 4.0 By the way, what does a honda sound like with a flowmaster on it?

My buddy put glasspacks on his 93 Limited. Trust me, yours will begin to slowly sound like poop, but you wont notice it, until one day you will be listening to your car, and go " What the f**k did I put those glasspacks on here for??"
It takes a little while, and I doubt yours are broken in yet, aka burned out, but it will happen, and then you will sound like a sewing machine.:D

I had Glass packs on my 94 F-150 5.0. I liked the way they sounded. Like the sound even more after they burned out. I don't have anything to say but good about the Glasspacks. IMO

My opinion is that they can sound just fine on V8's
When you put them on V6's they tend to hum or buzzz
I like how they sound on a throaty V8, which obviously has a different sound and pitch than y3llo's V6

But to each his own:D

could the transmission make a difference? I thought someone once told me that it could sound different on an automatic then on a manual. I'm not sure if I believe, but I'm just throwing it out there...

inlighten me..Whats a Glasspack??

Just like a fat tube filled with fiberglass.

OK.....so..why don't just remove a muffler or two, thats no$ and almost the same result, right?

I wouldn't mind just running straight pipe all the way back from the cat. When I was putting on my Gibson catback, I loved the way it sounded when I started it up with nothing behind the cat.

Well if you are going that far, why even have the cat??
My truck (not explorer) comes straight off the headers, now that sounds nice:D:D:D
Oh yeah, Its pretty f'in loud too
