The paints still good.. swirled but has marks water marks bug and tree sap and the roof u can feel is like.. gritty??? I never dealt with this before and its frustrating.. The bumpers the chrome is not shiny rather dull and has run marks the black pieces have fadded... Amy needs help.. I have a few pictures to show from 10 feet she looks good.. But I need suggestions I will post tons of pictures when I do this but I want to start work asap!!!! Help Me!!!

Why can't I post a pic?

crap.. i forgot to mention. you can also upload your photos to a site like photobucket, then copy the img tag from the picture and paste that to the thread. the picture will show up.

black is a maintainance nightmare.
Start off with some clay bar and go from there.

Good luck.

Ya my last one was black but some cleaner wax and collinite did the job.. This is going to take some work.. Talked to a ford guy whos a client of mine today who in turn spoke to the detail man.. Here was his suggestion

1. spray all the door jams and what not with all purpose cleaner and then hit with light water... remove all seats and console if its THAT bad and set them aside.
2 wash entire car with some kind of perf acid wash or dish soap or anything to cut the grease
3 clay bar and wash the car AGAIN?!?! then get a paintcleaner wax or somthing like the 3 step.. then go back inside and shampoo all the carpets starting @ the top doing the headliner cleaning dash and doing door handles where grease gets not using any armorall or nothing like that yet.. finally the floor and do the seats

LET IT DRY and then reinstal and you should have a much cleaner rig.. thats his detail process.. My questions are as follows.. sounds like a day or 2 project has anyone done this are there any tips or tricks... When I used to clean cars I never got this hardcore but this dude is crazy... he even was tellin me how to steam the engine spotless

Yup, we're crazy... :D

Did he mention moving your interior and various parts of your car into your living room to clean it well?

Did he mention taking out your headlights and taillights so you could wash and wax behind them?

God I'm sick. Please help me... :D

Damn I like to keep my truck clean too but never thought about removing the seat's and console....I might have to do that this summer lol.

I would do also say do the clay bar and 3 step. also get some Plastic Razor Blades for any stuck on pitch or tar.

plastic razor blades?? where on earth do I buy those? I'm between the mothers clay and the meguires clay.. I got the 3 step and I got collinite to top all of this hard work... after all I want it to last... I looked under the seats.. yucky.... I might get my lil green machine out for this job and it looks like within an hour I can have my seats out and stripped down consol ready for a good scrubbin

Your can get 100 of them for 7.99 here... http://www.autobodytoolmart.com/showproduct.aspx?productid=12113
Or you could probably go to an auto body shop in your area and ask them if you can either buy a couple or steal a couple because I doubt your going to need 100 of them lol. They work great for that stuck on gue though! and they don't scratch!

Really..... and to think I sat there and pissed around with bug and tar alll that time... or window cleaner usually did the truck... Anyone kno bout the roof being almost like.. gritty.. and handwash not doin a thing to improve that? I'm guessing heavy oxidation?

My power buffer worked for that. You can pick up a power buffer for pretty cheap and use mothers power wax. Mine was also pretty bad up there. The rest of the truck was fine. I just think people are to lazy to climb up there and wash/wax it....It is kinda tiring.:D

Any suggestions on a power buffer?? Are you talking about like a udm or something??
