2002 mercury mountaineer
So a couple weeks ago I replaced my front diferential and driver half shaft and upper and lower ball joints tie rod ends and struts and tires and brakes and rotors. Since all this work is done my abs light is constantly on so I went to auto zone and had them test it and came up with c1676 I think (open circuit or broken wire) so I check the front abs wires and the connectors seamed fine I then pulled the sensor out of the hub hoping when I had them out I might have got some metal flakes on them(I know know to just unplug them from the connectors) and finally checked the ohms on both front left and right side both show the same ohms there's no play in the hubs. I'm out of options beside replacing hubs and rear sensor which I don't think it is or taking it to the stealership and paying top dollar any help would be awesome I guess I should also mention I have a 2002 mercury mountaineer awd v8

Possibly look into the ABS Control Module. Make sure your connections to it are intact.

Also, just for grins to get a second look at those codes...go over to AdvancedAuto and have them read out the ABS module codes.

They need to enter the specific details on the year, make, and model of your vehicle. When you do that the scanner will know what modules your vehicle is configured with. The ABS codes and the recommended fixes from the scanner should be available when they do that.

Do you know if there's a way to test the abs control module, or the wires the run from the senors to the the abs control module and where is the abs control module located at
