- 1998 2wd Explorer Sport
Hey guys, im new to serious ex's and i need some help. I have a 1998 Ford Explorer Sport 2wd with the rear mono leaf suspension. I want to lift my truck because its looks way too wimpy to be a badass explorer, and i havent been able to find parts. I understand that you can get 3 inch lift spindles for the front of the truck and by doing a little bit of torsion twisting, i can get about 4.5 to 5 inchs out of the front and i am totally cool with that. My problem though is the rearend. As most of us know, the explorer sags in the rear and gives it a california cruiser look which in my oppinion looks depressing. I was wondering if anybody has any idea of correcting this problem. I understand that you can lift the rear with shackles but that is only about 2 inchs and i am looking for about 6. I have seen that superlift makes 4 inch lifted multipack rear leaf springs for the 96 to 00 explorer 4x4. Does anybody know if these can fit a 98 sport and if it does, do i need any extra parts or is it a dirrect swap. Please help me out guys, post it up.
