I need more bass please help

I went from a Hyundai Excel hatchback to a 93 Ford Explorer and now my bass is lacking because of the much larger space to fill.I know its not my amp because its very strong (JBL GTO601.1).But my sub is only a Pioneer TS-W34C 12" in a 1 cu/ft sealed box.Now my question is do I get a better sub or bigger box or both,If so what would you recommend for my Explorer? I can spend $600.00 Canadian.

Here is what I would do if I were you. Get a stereo integrity magnum D2:

Both are very very good subwoofers.

For a box, if you are comfortable use winISD and www.bcae1.com to make your own, or goto www.gnomeaudio.com and pay him about $15 for a custom cutsheet and plans for a nice solid box.
