Get a performance chip. I got the Superchip through Smartyparts.com and I can really tell the difference. Pulls up hills and accelerates better. Rick has a Hyperchip in his and he likes it. The only problem with the superchip is you have to run Premium gas. My mileage did get a little better with the chip. The superchip costs about $200.00 and was well worth it.
Is your Borla exhaust system a cat back? How much did that cost. I found a Borla system for cheap (my friend is the manager at ORW). Did it help? Should I spend my money on it ($295.00)?
I drilled some 1 1/2" holes in the right side of my air box (fender side) about 2 years ago and it helped a little. You can hear it when you accelerate hard though. It did not seem to cause my K&N air filter to get dirty faster either.
What exactly does a super chip do? Also, if the chip boost preformance, how can it increase miliage? Are there any chips that don't require super or premium fuel.
Ken, I've written many long posts on performance, mileage, and fuel need characteristics of the various performance chips. I suggest you use the search engine to search for posts containing superchip and hypertech and by Alec. Good luck!
