I NEED TIRES

I need some help finding some new tires. I bought some 16 inch rims and they came with 205/55/16 tires. Low profile tires. They are way to small. Does anyone know where I can get some good mud tires. I can go as big as 235/70/16 without putting a lift on my truck. Which eventualy I am gonna do but cant afford it right now. I have only had my truck for about 4 months and have did alot of work to it already but there is alot I want to do. If anyone knows where I can get some good tires pretty cheap HOLLAR at me please.

Only 235/70 with no lift?!?! I am at 255/70R16 with no lift and no rubbing. For a good all around tire I would pick the Goodyear Wrangler AT/S. I have heard many good things about this tire and will be getting a set ina month or so.

that is cool. I have been told I can go bigger. But when I took it to my local tire shop they told me I could only bo 135/70/16. Oh well I guess I will just have to expierment and see

Yeah. I would say you can easielly do the 255/70R16. that is what came on stock explorer eddie bauers from 95-01. I am pretty sure it'll fit ok for you. Check with different tire places also. Maybe this one just doesn't know what they are talking about.

Wait...what kinda rims dod you get? I am thinking now maybe they saiud 235 was the widers you could go because your wheels might not have as much backspacing and the wheel may rub sooner. i dunno but i have stock 2001 Sport trac 16" wheels and I have plenty of room. Yours sound like some high performance sports car wheel and it may have less backspacing.
