When i am in 4wd in my 95 X and am putting a decent amount of strain on the front tires it seems to jerk a lil and make almost a grinding noise. I have changed all the differential and t-case fluid. The t-case fluid change helped it out a lil bit but it still jerks and grinds. Is it something stripped or broken in the t-case or is it the diff? I am stuck and if i can figure this out then i will finish lifting my X and put 33's on it but until then i dont really want to spend all the money so if somehting breaks im not stuck in a hole.

Bump...help...Bump

if its on dry pavement... thats why right there..... 4x4 should at no point ever be operated in 4x4 on dry pavement

no when im off road i dont use 4wd on the road. Its like if i am going up a dirt hill and my back tires slip the front ones seem to jerk. In 4wl with the wheels turned it is really bad, but i was told that is just a bad u-joint.

Is this in auto 4x4 or 4-low?

its in both but really bad in low. in auto its just when there is strain on the front wheels. In 4wl it is just about each time i turn or have to put any preassue on the fornt tires in makes noises. It is almost like a grinding noise that jerks. It seems to me that there is something stripping sor skipping or something between the t-case and the tires. I was told it might be the t-case chain. but i dont know anything about those so any info wopuld help

if its offroad then its fine.. here is why... the truck wants to spin all 4 tires at exactly the same speed...... but it cant, so the driveline and tires spin at different speeds and they happen to make noise when this happens
