I think I got an Electrical problem with my fuse box.

I've been replacing my fuse that controls the reverse lights and rear defroster about 4 times now, the fuse blows out every week.
If anyone can help I think I have have a short somewhere in my fuse box, has anyone had this problem??
any help would be appreciated thanxs.

Are you sure you're using the correct amp fuse? If you are, then you definitely have something going on but it's an intermittent problem. i doubt the fuse panel is a fault. It's more likey a chafed wire somewhere or a poor connection. a poor connection causes increased resistance and can blow fuses periodically. A chafed wire may be shorting out when you hit a bump.
 






Do you know how to use an electric meter ? You could test the circuit to see if anything is leaking to ground.

Did you remove the reverse bulbs and inspect them ? Water and dirt might have got into the bulb socket or connections.

Also, inspect the rear defroster for any signs of damage and/or loose connections. Since the wiring for the defroster has to travel though a flexible conduit (from chassis to hatch) you might check that area of the wiring too.
 






I think if you search you will find posts about this problem associated with the steering column wiring iirc.
 






I am using the right amp fuse, but Ill now start to check for any loose connections,
