i want my nitrous back!

hey james

hey man i just orderedmy s/c about 4 days ago. i went with the xb-1a head unit. i got a badas$ deal from superchargersonline.com. if you want any more info on it just pm me and i can tell you if you are still planning on getting either the bd-11 or the xb-1a. either way they offered me the bd-11 kit for the 99 explorer satin finish for $2900 flat and THEY paid for shipping. and the upgraded xb-1a kit wasfor $3485 also They paid for shipping which was supposed to be about $45. if ya have any questions man just ask me. i plan on installingmy kit in about......well as soon as i get it. lol hey by the way which No2 kit were you running? 75 shot? well anyways hope to see your installation of your s/c in the near future. and also if anyone else is looking to put an xb-1a in their explorer look on the superchargersonline.com website here within the next month or so, because the installation article i am going to write for them (hey they are giving me $100 for something i was intending on doing anyways) should be done and posted by then. well good luck with everything. Robert

thanx for the info, Robert. i still plan on getting a charger someday, but i am doing a few engine upgrades first. i really need to get the wife another car first, as i am about to pour deisel on her MR2 and burn it.:p we are at a stalemate, as she doesnt want anything else right now, yet we're spending what would be a car payment on it just to keep it running...

i had the generic Zex dry kit for the 5.0 mustang. it was a few years old, and i dont remember what part# it was. i used both the 60 and the 75hp jets.

glad to see you got your's on the way... i assume the only thing that will be different on the install will be running the oil line... whatever you do, find a way to drill/tap the oil pan without removing it. you have to pull the motor on a 5.0X to remove the oil pan.

the drilling and tapping

what i am thinking of doing is either emptying it and then drilling and tapping it and then flushing it afterward really good or leve it full and drill it with a pan beneath it and pull the drill out really quick, let it drain and also push the metal shavings out of the way. then tapping it and then going on with some sort of a pipe cleaner and cleaning around the interior of the hole as much as possible and then flushing it and then presto there i go. anything you see wrong with those ideas or combinations of both? or if you got another idea please feel free to shoot it past me. but i was thinking of that too befre i bought it. and i figured there is a good way to do it.
