I wanto to upgrade my system

I know that Kicker's work well in small enclosures and are famous for that. I have also heard about people putting in them in the little space in the back. And they do sound really nice too. The 500a2 bridged might be a little too much power for one ten. The one 12 doesnt take up that much room, you can usually stuff it right up against the seat or on a corner in the back, and you can mount the amp under a seat, on the back of the box.

What if I stuck w/ my current amp, the MTX 2200X. In the manual it says the bridged power is 400x1@4ohm. I like it and all, and it sounds awesome, but you know this hobby is, you always gotta have better stuff. I went to a place today to see if they had those square solo barics, and to hear how they were, and to tell you the truth, I wasn't all that impressed. He hooked up a 10", which I sort of wanted to hear the 12". But he said it had about 250 watts powering it, but you couldn't really hear the thing, and I was standing right next to it. I guess you gotta put a lot to those things. But those wouldn't be too bad in the back, because the enclosures are pretty small and it wouldn't take up a lot of space, but they are hella expensive, but on ebay they are a lot cheaper than in stores. But I am gonna try to find another place around here that sells the 10"s olo barics, and try and here one of those things. Also, would a 12" really make all that much of a difference, at least, all tha much diffeence to justify paying for a whole new box, and sub? I have never heard these kicker subs, but have heard they are great, so any advice would be appreciated.

I don't think the L7's are worth it because you would have to get a whole new box because it is square. I am pretty sure your amp would be good to power the circular Solo Barics. There is a diffence between 10's and 12's. 12's can handle more power and are louder because of this. But there isn't that much of a difference between and really good 10 and lesser quality 12. I would say try the 10 or ask to try it in your enclosure with your amp and if you like it then go for it, if not then try a higher quality 10 or go with a 12. Good luck.
