IAT Removal from Air Intake Tube?

For those of you that have the older style separate IAT in the Air Intake tube, can you tell me how to remove it. There seems to be a rubber grommet thing on the tube part, is this part of the sensor and comes out with it, or does the sensor slide out leaving the rubber grommet piece in the air tube? I want to remove the sensor so i can clean it with some MAF cleaner, and i didn't want to force something out that is not suppose to be removed. thanks, the manual was not help with the tube kind.

unplug / twist-n-pull. the sensor comes out as a whole. clean away... reinstall.
