Idle trouble.. I.C.V.???

My car idles rough and when driving it hesitates or feels like a miss fire... but only when i dont hear the I.C.V.(clicking) sound.... I recently replaced the I.C.V. and still the same things happening?? any ideas?

Idle Air Control Valve. It's an electrically operated valve that allows air to bypass the throttle plate, thereby controlling idle speed. I'd check to make sure your throttle body is clean, you have no vacuum leaks, your PCV is operating properly, etc. An IAC valve could feasibly get dirty and cause a rough idle, however.

I wouldn't recommend attempting to clean it, as that tends to hose the electronic components.
