I have searched, but not found an answer.
So here's the deal: I know my Ex needs a new idler pulley as it is squeaking, and my trusty WD40 revealed just that. But when I was looking online at pulleys, the ones with the pictures are completely smooth, with no lip. The one on there now has like raised edges on each side, as if to maybe keep the belt on in case something goes wrong? No idea. But all the new ones we find are just totally smooth and flat (where the belt actually touches), with no raised lips or edges. My question is: will the smooth one work? I'm assuming maybe the generic parts are just made a bit differently and will work, but I'm not positive.
If anyone has any insight on this, it would be much appreciated!
Thanks!
