I started hearing a whirring noise every time i let go of the gas to coast and also the rpms would drop ..hit the gas it would kick back up to rpms and the noise would stop. It did it on the highway going 70 and then i was unable to go in any gear. had it towed to a trans shop they said it was in the transfer case. They replaced the input shaft, high low shift collar, shift fork pads, and seal kit. picked it up today drove it about 20 mins and the same noise came back every time i let up on the gas. Parked it went inside for a few came back out put it in reverse and nada all i hear is a whirring noise coming from the same area they were working on. Called em up and they r gonna come pick it back up tomorrow. But what would cause this noise and especially only when im coasting. I'm a bit paranoid about this shop now esp after forking over 950. I'm limited when it comes to cars especially transmissions so just want to have an idea to make sure they r working on the correct part or diagnosing it correctly. any help would be appreciated...thxs
