I have been searching and debating what tire size to buy and everyone tells me that the max I can go is a 265/75/16. Now dont get me wrong I think that would look nice but its in my nature to push for a little more. I saw an 04 ex with 22's on it with 305/45/22. So then i started looking around and there are lots of ex's with 22's and 23's. I have seen one person who tryed 285's and said there was no rubbing. So maybe all those 3rd gen. owners that are wondering if they can fit 285's were just looking in the wrong spot. If they can fit 305/45/22's than i should be able to fit 285's with little or no rubbing. Then again im no expert just a guy with a lot of free time at work, let me know what ya'll think.

You should be able to fit 285/75r16s with little to no rubbing. a buddy of mine with a 3rd gen 4dr fit those tires on his truck but they where fairly bald but I don't think he had much rubbing. You could also but a BL on your truck and fit then that way as well. I saw a 3rd gen with a BL which looked like it had 33s or 35s but I couldn't tell.

yea dude the 305/45/22 is a 32.80 and the 285/75/16 is a 32.83 so there should be little to no difference.. my bro is running 285s on his f150 and i had thought of swapping them for fun to see the fit... and umm yea BLs for a third gen r enough trouble and look ****ty
