where would you start?

A Sct x-cal 2 or x-cal 3 is the only way to go. Talk to Jah81592, he's a vendor here on the forum, and he can take care of anything you need for tuning. He's a great guy with excellent customer service. You can check out his website here www.hensonperformance.com

I just found his website.... Thanks...

Why is this the best? I have a 96 with the 4.0 OHV, will I see a noticeable gain?

Honestly it's the only one I've ever had, but I've been very happy with it. When it comes down to it most of the different boxes are basically the same thing with just minor differences. The big difference is the guy on the other end that writes the tune and James is a great guy. I've never seen anyone dissapointed in either his tunes or his customer service.

As far as you seeing any gains I'm sure you'll see some but we have totally different setups so I don't know what you would get specifically you would have to find someone with a similar explorer.

Thanks for the info. After experiencing the 4.0 OHV I wish I would have bought an X with the SOHC V6, but the price was right and my Wife wanted a stick.

I am going to first see what the Flowmaster will do. Ultimately this is going to be turned into a mild prerunner with a spindle lift and eventually it will run 33's.

Thanks again
