- 1994 Ford Explorer XLT
Hello everyone,
Like the title says, I'm a new member, but not a new Explorer owner. I bought a Ford Explorer brand new in October of '94 and I still own it. It was the 1st vehicle I ever bought new from a dealer. (And the last) Mine is a white over tan XLT with a manual transmission, 4WD and a limited slip differential. It has been a pretty good vehicle, meaning I haven't had to do any real expensive repairs. My fixes have been limited to brakes, tires, batteries, radius arm bushings, and a new clutch. I decided to join because at almost 22 y/o, the old girl needs a little TLC. The AC is working as good as it used to, the speedometer starts "seeking" at about 60 mph and up, the rear wiper has a mind of its own, the power windows need work, and I need to find some of those little rubber bumpers that go between the doors and frame to stop the rattles. (Hers have disappeared over the years.) I own 2 other vehicles, an '07 Nissan Frontier Crew Cab, and an '04 Honda Odyssey.
Thanks for letting me join. I looked over the site a bit before I registered and there appears to be a wealth of helpful info here.
Cheers
