i scrounged up to some money and got fuel injectors for it as well, so while its tore apart i can replace them, they are flow matched for even distribution, so between the fpr and fuel injectors, that should stop the problem?

fuel filter?

How long that you last time replace your fuel filter?

since the wife got her Van, we dont use the Ex that much accept for play time and snow time, so it took a while :-( plus with all the problems its sat more then drive. hopefully with all this itll run better and wont sit more then drive... still needs exhaust system redone hopefully get to it this year to

after taking a break from painting and cleaning (now i feel like ive been huffing all day) came in to just find out my regulator was here! so yay! but the new fuel injectors i ordered will be delivered late (i hate small towns) and my gasket wasnt in stock either.. ugh! love to hate small towns when it comes to the car parts, but got an O Rileys coming in now to, dont really like em still prefer Adv Auto but O Rileys seems to have parts in stock, should go work for them just for the discounts, lol...

sorry for rambling, is there anything else I should check/lube/whatever while the Intake is off?

where did you buy your injectors? can you post a link?

No problem, like i said Ive dealt with him a few times and so have a few friends on mine, and he really does purchase them back at 110%, friend of mine ordered a set and they didnt match like he said (freak error) and the gave him a new set plus 10% cash! i ordered them for the Geo Storm Wagonback and they worked great to, so heres some for the explorer

ok what a freakn headache! the fpr is on, went on smoothly, however... fuel injectors on pass. side came out and went in smooth! driver side, not so much... the one near the grille went in after serious pressing, middle after serious pressing, the one close to the firewall on dr. side will not go in.

So i thought about just putting in on the fuel rail and as i torque it to specs itll press it in, good theory but the threaded studs snapped as the top, so took hours to get em free and find someone to order me more... so studs are on the way as well as now i own a nice e7 socket for them...

so how in the hell do i get that one to press in?!?!

for mine, i set them in the fuel rail, then set the fuel rail down on the intake, and pressed in each one one by one. if i remember they make a slight pop when theyre in. just wiggle it around until it goes in. just dont damage the o-rings
it really wasnt a hard job :p

all tops are in, and in the motor but that damn rear one wont go into motor, i even put light grease around each o ring to make them slide better

seems like every job i try on the rust bucket seems to be harder then it was for everyone else.

Xeek did you torque them studs down to the 89-100+ lbs? im just afraid i do it again im gonna rip the head right off, studs come in on tues, im gonna try to soak that fuel injector in a lil gas to see if itll go in any better

the fuel rail to lower intake studs? i think i tightened them down and jd torqued them by hand or torque wrench after that. so theyre more then likely within the spec.

just jiggle it all around before putting the studs in. it helps get them in
