Welcome to the forum! I'd suggest you head over to the 95-01 Explorer Section. They'll get your issue solved. I have a similar problem with my 98 EX. Its unlocks but doesn't lock. You'll probably need a new lock/unlock control.

The inside of the switch may have gotten rain in it. Sometimes some contact spray helps. Other Times the corrosion is worse.

Might just be a broken wire due to flexing every time the door is opened or shut. Pull back the rubber boot between the door and the front fender and inspect that bundle.
