im new at this and i want some clearance

i have a 96 explorer 4x4 and i want to get some clearance with it and i want to be able to fit a 31 or 32'' tire in it, what does a body lift do?

body lift doesnt raise the whole truck, it raises the body off of the frame. there are 10 mounts that the body connects tot he frame. you could do a 2 inchh torsion twist and shackles witha 3inch body lift and you will be able to fit 32s or 33s. do a search on torsion twist.

Welcome to the site.. You can probably get 31s on without doing a lift.. If you do, you can get a set of Warrior shackles and crank on those torsion bars and you can probably get a set of 32s under your truck.. If you wanna go up to 33s or higher do a 3" body lift from Performance Accessories for a Ranger and make bumper brackets from some drawings that can be found on this site.
