- '04 Explorer Eddie Bauer
Hi Guys and Gals....
I purchased a 2004 Explorer Eddie Bauer for my Daughter this past year and it has been close to a nightmare.. We got a good deal on it for only 90Kmiles, but it was from New York, and you know what that means......RUST...
I had no idea that these cars rusted so badly. Anyway, we just had to replace the Rear Diff, Rear Struts and all rear brakes....
My son in law noticed that the left rear tire had a negative camber. I had a guy put it on a 4 wheel machine and it is showing -2.2 degrees. I have seen kits that have oblong nuts, etc, but they claim that they will handle only -.50 to +.50. I looked at everything and it doesn't appear to be bent,etc...
The mechanic I trust said that it looked like it had a limiting washer on it and if he removed it and replaced it with a regular washer that he thinks he could adjust it to spec. WHAT DO YOU GUYS THINK???
Thanks!!!!
